Born to Rene S. Martinez, Sr. & Elida Duran, Rogelio was one out of 8 children. Rogelio graduated from Jefferson Davis High School and later became a bartender for Los Tios Mexican Restaurant.
Rogelio enjoyed traveling and eating out, trying different restaurants. Rogelio was a true Houstonian and enjoyed watching the Houston Astros and the Texans. One of his biggest joys was spending time was his family.
Rogelio is preceded in death by his parents Rene S. Martinez, Sr. & Elida Duran; grandparents Adolfo B. Martinez & Refugio Santos Coy; brother Rene Martinez Jr., and nephew Rene Martinez III.
Rogelio is survived by his sister Cynthia Luna, his sister Sandra Miranda, his sister Claudia Martinez, his sister Krystal Mendoza and his brother Frank Duran Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are Frank Duran Jr., Mario Cervantes Jr, Jabier Anguiano, Exander Mendoza, Jason R. Mendoza, Francisco Sanchez Jr , Jason Mendoza and Robert L. Molina.
A visitation for Rogelio will be held Monday, June 30, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM at Funeraria Del Angel, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A funeral service will occur Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM, 5100 North Fwy, Houston, TX 77022. A graveside service will occur Tuesday, July 1, 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, TX 77039.
