Roger Davis, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, Uncle, veteran, and friend, passed away surrounded by the love of his family.
Roger proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1963 to 1966. He served with the 82nd Airborne Division and was awarded honors including the Combat Infantryman Badge, Parachutist Badge, and Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal. Following his military service, Roger went on to work for the United States Postal Service, where he spent many years before retirement.
Those who knew Roger will remember him for his generosity and his willingness to help the people around him. He enjoyed fishing, traveling to Brazil , discovering new foods, sharing a beer with friends, and cheering on his beloved Houston Astros. He also loved watching movies, especially when he could share that time with his daughter Spring and hold extended discussions about it.
Roger is survived by his wife, Ivone; his son, John and wife Rolinda Davis; his daughter, Spring Brewer; his grandson, Scott Davis, and his wife, Christy; his granddaughter and her husband, Mandi and Kyle Warren, and Lauren Davis; and his great-grandchildren, Brantley and Canaan Davis, Colton, Macie, and Luke Warren.
He is also survived by his brothers, Johnny Davis and his wife, Mary Lou, and Robert Davis; his sister, Diane, and her husband, Larry Harwood; as well as many nieces, nephews, Inlaws, extended family members, and friends.
Roger's life was marked by service—to his country, to his family, his outrageous and unyielding sense of humor and in the many quiet ways he was willing to help those around him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
