Rona Lee O’Quinn, 81, passed away Wednesday, April 20, in St. Luke’s Hospital, The Woodlands, TX. She was born in Abbeville, LA on February 4, 1935 and retired as Director, Court Operations, United States District Court.
Rona was preceded in death by her Mother, Anite Quarles and her Father, Lucius T. O’Quinn. She is survived by her sister, Rita Atkins of Sulphur, LA; her brother L. T. O’Quinn, Jr and wife Donalyn of Hillister, TX; brother Leonard Toups and wife Carolyn of Pasadena, TX; Diane Palacios (whom Rona lovingly called her “Kid”) and husband Napoleon; and her two long-time friends, Janan Crowder and Barbara May.
In accordance with Rona’s wishes, in lieu of formal services a Celebration of Life will be held in Lake Charles, LA for her Louisiana friends and relative and one in the Houston area for her closest Texas friends
