

His family history traces back to the Battle of San Jacinto. He was a member of the St. Cecilia Catholic Community and also enjoyed attending Mass at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart. His hobbies included cars, fishing, boating and collecting Sunbeam mix masters.
Ron Evetts was fiercely loyal to his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Charles Dean Evetts. He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Nancy Z. Evetts; his daughters, Anna and Elizabeth; his granddaughter, Danie; and numerous family and friends.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, August 4, 2013 from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm with a Vigil/Rosary Service at 7:00 pm in the Hunters Creek Chapel at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Co-Cathedral of the Sacred Heart, 1111 St. Joseph Parkway, Houston, Texas 77002. A reception will follow in the Cathedral Centre. Interment will be on Monday, August 5, 2013 at 2:00 pm in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Frydek, Texas.
