Ronald Lynn Painter is the oldest of three boys born in the small town of Lowdi Ohio. The three Painter boys were so remarkable that according to Ron a plaque was placed at the front door of the hospital in honor of them. Of course the plaque was always out for cleaning if anybody actually took the time to drive by and see this said plaque. This is only one example of the remarkable sense of humor that was lost when Ron passed away on the morning of June 29, 2014 at the age of 71!
Ron was a man who loved his family and friends and would do anything he could for them. He especially loved having people come over and just sit and talk. He had a story or a joke for every occasion and was never afraid to laugh at himself while telling them.
Ron married his first wife Cherrie and although they were not able to have children of their own God blessed them with an amazing little boy Timothy Painter (Timmy) who changed his life in more ways than he could have ever imagined. Ron loved telling stories about Timmy growing up and the exciting adventures that they had. Cherrie and Timmy held a huge place in Ron’s heart that could never be replaced.
In 2006 God blessed Ron with his beautiful wife Carolyn. One of their favorite past times was going on vacation together. They loved traveling the United States and seeing new sites together. They also enjoyed cruising together and with family and friends. When marrying Carolyn, Ron was blessed with three children and several grandchildren. He felt like one of the luckiest men alive to have the opportunity of watching his grandkids grow something he never thought he would be able to do.
Ron loved family time and looked forward to family gatherings and holidays together. He loved watching the excitement on the children’s faces as they discovered new things. He loved sharing stories with his grandkids and helping them appreciate the good things life had to offer.
Ron was proceeded in death by his father and mother Corbett and Creda Painter, his wife Cherrie Painter and his son, Timothy Painter.
Ron is survived by his wife, Carolyn Read-Painter, son Michael Read and wife Carlye, Son Jonathan Read and wife Cari, Daughter Cynthia Read and husband William. Grandsons, Brycen, Nathaniel, and Timothy, Granddaughters, Kaitlyn, Emily, Maddy, and Hannah. He is also survived by his brother David Painter and wife Dawn, brother Allen Painter and wife Carol, and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
Ronald Lynn Painter was an amazing man who touched many lives. He will never be forgotten and will always hold a prime spot in the hearts of those he left behind.
