Ronald Eugene Petit, age 81, graduated from this earth on November 6, 2025, to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, in heaven. Ron was born on July 6, 1944 in Archer City, Texas. He was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by his wife, Gayle, his son, Ronald E. Petit, II, his daughter, Rhonda Garlick, and grandchildren: Austin Cole Petit, Everlee Petit, Hayley Hardaway, Capri Benavidez, Loryn Garlick, William Moody and Kourtney Lowther. In addition, Ron has four great-grandchildren, Lincoln Moody, Marley Moody, Ellia Benavidez and Ida Garlick. Ron was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, great uncle and cousin. He was cherished for his quick wit, subtle sense of humor, the twinkle in his blue eyes, and telling it straight. Ron will be profoundly missed by his family and many friends. Ron served as a Deacon at Second Baptist Church for many years and cherished that responsibility. He worked at Tuboscope for many years, and was the founder of Petit Enterprises. His life will be celebrated on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Second Baptist Church, 5757 FM 1463, Katy, TX 77494.
