

Ronnie Dale Tyson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 11, 2020 in Cypress, Tx. He was born on February 18, 1943 in Wichita Falls, Tx. After graduating from Wichita Falls High School, he served in the US Army for 2 years and was stationed in France. He retired as a Petro Chemical Piping Designer. He was an active member of Houston Brethren Church for many years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Rita of almost 36 years; his children Sharon Devall and son- in- law Mike, Susan Garza and son- in- law Armando, Adria Golden and son-in-law Dennis and Kevin Henderson; grandchildren, Kyle, Matthew and Jeffrey Massey, Jared Garza, Sarah Conley, Chris Ottosen, Madilyn Henderson and Jayden Golden Selph; 7 great grandchildren, Jaxon and Savannah Massey, Dalton, Addie, and Anna Conley, Abigail Ottosen, Sophia Garza; his brother Donald Tyson and family; many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Ervin and Cassie Mae Tyson and sisters Janet Griffith and Barbara Dorsey.
He was always willing to help anyone in need no matter what and always saw the good in everyone. He did everything for his wife Rita and once told her he hopes he lives just one more minute than her so she would not be left alone. He loved playing cards with his best friend, Ricky Veit and their little card group every weekend for many years. He also enjoyed getting together with Ricky’s brothers and their friends for poker games. For many years, he loved tubing down the Guadalupe River with his wife, family and friends. Ronnie enjoyed golf and volunteered at the Shell Houston Open for ten years. He always enjoyed working his daily crossword puzzles in the Chronicle and enjoyed weekly trips to Denny’s or Jack in the Box where he made friends with several customers. He loved his family and will be missed by so many.
