He was born in Arcola, Texas on April 5, 1938. Roque was a member of the United States Air Force.
He was married to Isabel Perez Ortega for 61 years.
Roque Ortega Jr. had a career in Sales for Texas Health Spring. He was a member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church and had a passion for his faith in God.
He was survived by: His wife of 61 years, Isabel Ortega.
His children:
Craig Steven Ortega, with wife, Anne Therese Ortega and daughter, Stephanie Marie Ortega.
Kimberly Ortega Tristan with daughters, Alyssa and Isabel Tristan.
Roque Ortega III with wife Robinne, children Cameron Salamone, Cassen Salamone, Jillian, Ryann, and Baby Ortega.
A visitation for Roque will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at St. Bartholomew the Apostle Catholic Church, 5356 11th St, Katy, TX 77493. A committal service will occur Thursday, August 10, 2023 from 12:45 PM to 1:15 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
A reception will is to follow services at Midway BBQ 6025 Hwy Blvd, Katy TX 77494 from 2:30-5:00 PM
