Rosa Lee Barr, 90, of Atascocita, passed into eternal rest on May 21, 2017. She was born in Sandy Point, Texas to Luther Culbert and Florence Tickle Culbert on May 25, 1926. Rosa Lee graduated from Jeff Davis High School and married Wilbert Eldon Barr in 1946. Rosa Lee worked for Ralf Rupley Furs, Lane Wales and Simpson Dining Car during the War. She had a passion for flowers and gardening.
Left to cherish her memories are: son, Floyd Barr and wife Linda; siblings, Yvonne Hall and Robert Lyons; grandchildren: Melissa Wuennenberg, Heather Henderson, Shanelle Shojaei, Sebastian Shojaei; great-grandchildren Felicia West, Billy West; great-great-grandson Sylas Ishee; nieces Tammy Hall, Alisa Hall and nephews Frank Mills, Lee Mills.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday, May 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas, 77039. The funeral will be Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in the Family Chapel at Brookside Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Brookside Memorial Park.
