Rosalie Jones Cochran 87, born to Lazarus and Stella Jones on November 20, 1924 in Bloomington, TX, Rosalie was the fourth child of 8. She grew up on the family farm in Port Lavaca working along side her siblings. During WWII she worked at the corner Drug Store and married Norval Cochran after the war. For many years Rosalie worked as a hairdresser while raising their son Michael. She was a founding member of Bellaire Church of Christ and an active member of Bayland "Quilt Toppers" quilting group. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, cooking for her family and her rose garden. Thanks to the support of all the members of the Bellaire Church of Christ, to which she was so devoted Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband Norval Cochran, Mother and father, brothers Billy, Johnny, Sammy and Robert, Sisters Mary and Emma. She is survived by her son Michael Cochran and wife Joan of Florida and grandsons Eric and Ryan Cochran. The family will welcome friends at a visitation Tuesday May 29 from 6-9 PM at the funeral home. Funeral service will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday May 30th at the funeral home with burial to follow.
