

Rosalinda Rios Soliz, 73, passed away on July 13, 2026. Born on March 4, 1953, in Brownsville, Texas, she was raised there by her parents, Rosario and Rogacion Rios, and carried forward the steady values of faith, perseverance, and care for others throughout her life. She was a resident of Houston, Texas.
Rosalinda built her life through hard work and quiet strength. She served as a District Manager for Petroleum Wholesales and retired in 2020, leaving behind a legacy of dedication, resilience, and thoughtful leadership—qualities that were evident not in grand displays, but in the dependable way she showed up, provided, and persevered.
A kind-hearted and devoted presence in the lives of those who knew her, Rosalinda was generous with her time and selfless in her care. She treasured family above all, finding her greatest joy in being together, sharing everyday moments, and offering steady support. She enjoyed watching sports—especially baseball—and was an avid fan who loved cheering on the Houston Astros and Houston Texans. She also took pride in gardening, and she especially enjoyed watching her daughter play sports, a reflection of the attentive and faithful encouragement she so naturally gave.
Rosalinda’s faith was a guiding strength. She was an active member of Growing Faith Church, where her devotion and gentle spirit were deeply valued and where she found fellowship and purpose.
Rosalinda is survived by her daughter, Angela Soliz; her son, Ray Soliz; her step-daughter, Roxanna Schmidt; her brothers, Roy Rios, Ruben Rios, Richard Rios, and Rudy Rios; and her grandchildren, Mya Soliz and Ray Soliz Jr. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rosemary Rios; and her brothers, Robert Rios and Jesse Rios.
Visitation will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081, on July 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Rosalinda was cherished and beloved—remembered for her bravery in life’s challenges, her faithful heart, and the enduring love she gave so freely. Her presence will be deeply missed, and her memory will remain a lasting comfort to all who were blessed to know her.
