Rosemarie Poe Brown, 88, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in Houston, Texas. She was born in Jena , Louisiana, on June 9, 1923 to Leslie Earl Poe and Bessie Marie Thompson .She was a member of First United Methodist Church, Daughters of the American Revolution, Colonial Dames and French Huguenots.
She is survived by her daughter, Melanie Brewer, son Donald Brown and wife Twyla and by sister, Elizabeth Louise Wright. She is also survived by four grandchildren, Tristan Brown, Nathan Brown and wife Lauren, Taylor Marie Brewer and William Brewer.
Visitation will be held on, Tuesday, April 24, 2012, at Advantage Funeral Home, 7010 Chetwood Dr. Houston, Texas 77081, from 1:00 P.M. to 3:00 P.M. with a service at 2:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Nolley Cemetery in Jena , Louisiana, on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
