Rosie Saldivar

She married Reynaldo Saldivar, Sr. and enjoyed many years of marriage before his passing on the 30th of January 1987. They were the proud parents of four children, three of whom survive her. Rosie loved preparing Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. She was a fan of all Houston sports teams and was also an avid reader. She thoroughly enjoyed reading the bible, biographies, autobiographies, Wall Street Journal, Houston Chronicle and the “occasional” tabloid magazine.

Rosie is predeceased by her parents, her husband, her son (Ray Saldivar Jr.), her sisters (Mary Helen, Henrietta & Margaret) and brother (Jessie Jr.).

Rosie is survived by siblings Francine Beltran, Geneva Vasquez and Raymond Chavez; children Blanche Akin, Troy Saldivar and wife Jenny and Jason Saldivar and wife Kendra; grandchildren Amber Akin, Zachary Akin, Emily Williams, Justin Saldivar, Paige Saldivar and Morgan Saldivar. She also leaves behind many beautiful in-laws, nieces, nephews, great grandchildren and special friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions in her name be directed to the charity of one’s choice.
