

Roy Lester Jackson, Jr. was born to Roy James Jackson and Cora Mae Jackson on December 18, 1938 in Houston, Texas. Roy attended grade school in Houston Independent School District and Aldine Independent School District and graduated from George Washington Carver High School. Roy accepted Christ at an early age and became a member of Bright Star Baptist Church. He later joined Grace Temple Baptist, after leaving united with St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church, where he became an ordained deacon. Roy is preceded in death by his parents Roy James and Cora Mae Jackson and his sister Espinola. Roy leaves to cherish precious memories: his wife Sadie Pearl Jackson of 53 years; brother Charles (Grady Lou); sister Faye (David); six children Timothy (veronica - deceased), Tammy (Walter), Roy (Kris), John (Regina), Lisa (Cedric) and Gwendolyn (Joseph); ten grandchildren Marcus (Dora), Symotria, India, Roy, Taylor, Darian, Christian, Sydni, Eric and Jordan; five great grandchildren Mon'Trey, Carter, Arianna, Quinton, Kenya and Camryn; godchildren Debra Ann Lee, Hope Lynn Ellison and Fredrick Foster; three stepbrothers Ray (Sherry), Willis McKee (Debra), Elbert; one stepsister Wanda and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, cousins, nephews; everyone that called him Daddy and Papa and 44 Regulators.
