Roy married his true love, Juanita in 1953. He adored her and they were inseparable from the very beginning. They were blessed with son Roy Jr. and grandson Roy III. The younger Roys meant the world to him.
Roy enjoyed a long career as a paleontologist with Dutch Shell in Trinidad and Shell Oil in Houston. He and Juanita traveled the world and made lasting friendships in every corner of the globe.
Roy had a passion for books and newspapers and he volunteered countless hours at the library in Downtown Houston. he could not bear to see retired books go to the dumpster, so he brought them home in numbers too many to contain.
Roy will be missed by his family, friends and all those that he brought into his home and his heart. He was an Angel on Earth who, without effort stood as a role model and mentor to us all.
