Roy Morris

Roy graduated from Elsik High School and went into a career as wine merchandiser, contractor, and handyman. Roy married his high school sweetheart, Doris, on November 7, 2009, and continued to be a wonderful husband to her up to the day of his passing. He had one daughter, Raven, and was involved with everything she did, from T-ball to high school softball. He would do anything to see his angel smile.

He loved music and dancing, especially DJing and breakdancing, and had an interest in Bigfoot and UFO sightings. He was passionate about acting, and in the last few years of his life starred as an extra in multiple TV shows and movies. He planned to one day make it to Hollywood.

Roy was preceded in death by his father, Rogelio Rivera, and his grandmother, Virginia Martin.

He is survived by his wife, Doris Marie Morris; daughter, Raven Destiny Morris; mother, Patricia Higginbotham; grandmother, Josephina Morris; brothers, David Paul Morris and Anthony Rivera; sister, Adrianna Rivera; his dog, whom he loved wholeheartedly, Chloe; and many family members and friends.

A visitation for Roy will be held Monday, February 17, 2025, from 2:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will occur the following day, Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church, 215 E 10th St, Houston, TX 77008, with a committal service to follow at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.

Serving as pallbearers are David Morris Sr., Paul Rivera, Jeremiah Tagle, Damien Morris, Anthony Rivera, Tatum Long, Edwin Rivas, Ricardo Quintero, and David Morris Jr.
