Ruben Neal Jr.

Ruben Earl Neal Jr. was born in Terrell, Texas to Ruben Lewis Neal Sr. and Margaret Neal on April 22, 1942. He dedicated his life to Christ at an early age. He finished high school in Terrell, Texas, went to Jarvis Christian College and continue his education received at Prairie View A & M University where he received a degree in Liberal Arts. Then was drafted to the Military where he served as a paratrooper until discharged. He relocated to Houston, Texas where he met and married the love of his life, Eddie Marie Neal. They joined in Holy Matrimony January 15, 1973 to this union was born two beautiful babies, Kinshasha Neal and Akeba Neal. He had a great love for his family.

He was preceded in death by his sisters, Jacquelyn Neal, Alice “Baby Doll” Neal; father, Ruben E. Neal Sr.; mother, Margaret Neal; grandson, Ayden Buckner; and brother, George Raft Neal.

Ruben “Tamp” Neal Jr. leaves to cherish his loving memories his children, Kinshash Neal, Akeba Neal; his special daughter, Lakedra Coleman; sisters, Madeline Neal of Terrell, Texas, Marquinez William of Los Angeles, California; uncle, Wylie Neal of Virginia; granddaughter, Christina Neal; sister-in-law, Yvonne Coleman and a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and a host of other family and friends

Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 26, 2014 starting at 9:00 AM followed by the funeral service at 11:00 AM at Advantage Howard-Glendale Chapel, 1015 Federal Road, Houston, Texas 77015 (713) 453-6373.

Graveside service will be held on Monday, July 28, 2014 at 10:15 AM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038.
