Ruben Rufino Ruiz

Ruben Rufino Ruiz of Houston, Texas went to be with his Lord on Thursday, August 24, 2017 in Tomball, Texas. He was born April 7, 1942 in Villa Jaurez-San Luis Potosi, Mexico to parents Juventino Ruiz and Ignacia Avila Ruiz. Ruben was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend that will be dearly missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 42 years Cesarea Nieto Ruiz; children: Lucy Muston and her husband Kevin and Laura Gutierrez and her husband Jaime; grandchildren: Jaime Gutierrez, Jr., Kevin Muston, Jr., Makayla Gutierrez and Tyler Muston; siblings: Rodolfo Ruiz and his wife Maria De Jesus, Maria Del Carmen Ruiz and Esperanza Juarez and numerous nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Ruben is preceded in death by his granddaughter Lucerito Gutierrez; parents and brother Sebastian Ruiz.

The family will receive friends for a visitation Monday, September 4, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of the Chimes at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039 with a rosary at 7:00 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, September 5, 2017 at 10:00 am at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church, 2131 Lauder Road, Houston, Texas followed by a rite of committal at Brookside Memorial Park.
