Ruby Nell Busby Goforth

Ruby Nell Taylor was born to Charlie Taylor and Daisy Jones in Cottondale, Alabama. She was a farmer’s daughter who worked alongside her Dad milking cows, tending chickens and working in the fields. Later on she was a children’s Sunday School teacher, worked in the church nursery and prayed daily for family & friends.

She first met Clyde Busby when he came with his brother to visit one of Ruby Nell’s sisters. When he saw Ruby Nell he told his brother that he was going to marry “that girl”. They were married on October 14th 1936. They were married for 54 years and had 2 daughters Carolyn Janell and Linda Clyde. After the passing of Clyde, Ruby Nell married Carl Goforth.

Taylor & Mason Cruse;Her Great, Great Grandchild Amerie DuBois. She is also survived by her siblings, Sallie Odinet

Dorothy Clark, and Bettye Taylor. She was preceded in death by Husband – Clyde Busby (married for 54 years until his passing),Husband – Carl Goforth (married for 10 years until his passing), Brothers - Floyd, James & CW Taylor

Sisters – Gertie Smelley, Bertha Busby & Margie Hannah. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 21, 2013 from 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at Advantage Howard Glendale Funeral Home, 1015 Federal Rd., Houston, Texas 77015. A chapel service will be held on Monday , January 21, 2013 at 1:00 P.M. at the Advantage Howard Glendale Chapel. Interment will follow at San Jacinto Cemetery.
