

Ruby Minoo Italia of Houston, Texas, passed away on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at the age of 76. She was born on April 4, 1950, in Nasik, India, to Nariman and Roshan Dumasia. She received her grade school education at Boy’s Town in Nasik, India. Thereafter, she met and married her husband of 55 years Minoo Italia in 1971. Shortly thereafter, the Italia family immigrated to the United States in 1974.
Ruby was a caring and supportive wife and a loving mother and grandmother. The company of her grandchildren always brought her immense happiness. She was a woman of many talents and had a remarkable creative spirit. She was a gifted artist who especially loved drawing and had an exceptional ability to bring her ideas to life through her artwork. She was also a talented seamstress, creating beautiful pieces with great skill and attention to detail. In addition, Ruby was a wonderful cook whose delicious meals brought her family together and created countless cherished memories around the table. Ruby shared a particularly special bond with her son, Sorab. The two shared the same warm smile and wonderful sense of humor, bringing joy and laughter to those around them. Her creativity, warmth, humor, and many talents were just some of the qualities that made her so deeply loved and will continue to live on through her family.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Nariman and Roshan Dumasia, and her brother, Kersi Dumasia. She is survived by her husband, Minoo Italia; her brother, Sam Dumasia; her son, Sorab Italia; daughter in law, Arzin Italia; and her grandchildren, Zara and Zal Italia.
Ruby’s memory will live on forever in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. The love, joy, and warmth she brought into the lives of her family and friends will never be forgotten, and her spirit will continue to uplift and guide them for years to come. She will always be remembered with great love and affection and will be deeply missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at the Chapel of Eternal Peace at Forest Park, 2454 S Dairy Ashford, Houston, TX 77077, US, on July 22, 2026, beginning at 10:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on July 22, 2026, beginning at 10:30 am.
Followed by Witness Cremation will take place on July 22, 2026.
