Ruby Carlton Riggs

Having lived a long and glorious life, Ruby passed away on July 12, 2022 at the age of 92.

Ruby married Oscar Horace Riggs Jr. on January 12, 1948, and will be laid to rest beside him at Brookside cemetery on July 21, 2022.

She loved her family and friends, and enjoyed a good social gathering. She will be remembered for her adventurous nature and strong work ethic. She was a tough lady, working well into her eighties for the Humble Independent School District. Ruby was a custodian from 1988 until she retired in 1998. She later was rehired as a bus attendant in 1999 and resigned on June 1, 2017.

She was a member of The Order of Eastern Star and regularly attended First Baptist Humble.

Ruby is survived by her daughter: Belinda Louise Berry, her grandson's: Stephen Morris Savage and Timothy Brian Berry II, and her grandchildren: Madalyn Woodward and Summer Berry.

Her memory will be survived by the countless friends and family members who loved and respected her; knowing that we will all see her again later.
