Ruth T. Law

Ruth Thompson Law went home to be with her Savior on May 22, 2014. She was surrounded by her loving family. Ruth is survived by son David T. Law and his wife, Sharon Law, son James W. Law, Jr. and grandchildren, James W. Law, III, Catherine Law and Kaitlyn Law. Ruth’s beloved husband, James W. Law, Sr., preceded her in death on September 27, 1987.

The family would like to deeply thank her wonderful caregivers, Judy Arroyo, Alta Cabas, Aricelli Casterllanos, Nita Arroyo, Simona and Natalie Reyes, for their loving care and compassion over the last four years

Ruth was an active member at Second Baptist Church, Houston, and was involved in the Senior Missions Group. She was also actively involved in PEO, Delphians and AARP.

Ruth lived a very full and robust life to its completion. She was a full time substitute for many years at Memorial High School, Houston. She made many friends through her work and social events. Ruth was dearly loved by many and will be missed. She was a woman of dignity, living her last few days with dignity in Houston Hospice. Her heavenly home will offer more jewels than she could have ever worn here on earth.

The family will receive friends on Monday, May 26, 2014 from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM in The Stateroom at Earthman Funeral Directors, 8303 Katy Freeway, Houston, Texas 77024. Funeral services will be held at Second Baptist Church, 6400 Woodway Drive, Houston, Texas 77057 on Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park and Cemetery in Fort Worth, Texas with her parents.
