Ms. Ruth Willie Miles

Ruth Willie Miles was born on August 07, 1942, in Houston, Texas to Willie and Vivian King. Willie grew up in Houston and attended Houston ISD. She graduated from Jack Yates Sr High School. After high school, Willie received her LVN license. After receiving her license, she was a devoted employee of Texas Children’s Hospital for 20 years. After retiring from Texas Children’s Hospital, Willie became a dedicated employee of the Harris County Sheriff’s Department, where she remained for 12 years until she retired.

Willie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Lilly Grove Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverand Terry Anderson.

Willie is survived by her son, Alvin (Renee), and her grandchildren, Sarah, Alvin, Joseph, Alexandra, Alison (Rodney), Vivian, Caitlyn, Lauren and eight great grandchildren.

Willie also leaves to mourn her sister Melva Gray, nephews James (Rita), Rodney and Byron, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held at Paradise Funeral Home, Inc, 10401 West Montgomery, Houston, TX 77088, US, on July 2, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life at the same location from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.

A Committal Service will take place at Paradise Cemetery South, 2237 Cullen Blvd, Pearland, TX 77581, US, on July 2, 2026, from 1:15 pm to 1:30 pm.
