Ryan Joshua Bates

August 17, 1999July 16, 2019

Ryan Joshua Bates, born August 17, 1999, was taken from us on July 16, 2019; a month before his 20th birthday.

Ryan graduated from Cypress Spring Highschool in May 2017. He was a very smart, fun, funny, loving young man with still so many hopes, dreams, and goals. We may never have an understanding as to why he had to go so soon but are very blessed to have shared his precious life with him. Ryan loved his family and friends, especially his “Brothers”. He enjoyed life to the fullest whenever life permitted.

Ryan is survived by his mother Trisha Manning Bates, father Jason Bates, sister Alexis Bates, fiancée Deborah (Debbie) Elizondo, his brothers and several other family and friends that loved him dearly.

Visitation will be held at Bear Creek Baptist Church on August 7, 2019 from 10-11 AM, followed by Funeral Service from 11 AM-12PM, concluding with Committal Service at Forest Park Westheimer Funeral Home from 12:30-1:30 PM.

Ryan is a very handsome young man and we are very proud of his graduating from high school. When Trisha visited with the children, Ryan had lots of questions and was very busy learning new tricks from his Uncle Robert.

We watched Ryan chalk drawing with his nephew, Chris Ryan and niece, Jasmine at Chris’ birthday party this year. You can tell he loved them getting on the ground and making pictures with them. On the July 6th party, Ryan and Uncle Robert talked about their beards on how to trim and shaping for the best look. We fondly remember many days like that.

Ryan had so much to look forward to. We will miss that bright young man, our great-nephew, Ryan Bates taken too early.

There are no words. Thank you for picking us to share your life with. I love you nephew. You are forever missed and loved. Take time to check in on us. Sometimes we will seem ok but just know you took a piece of everyone with you and things, life won't be the same.

I remember when ever Ryan came to the house. He always made time for his cousins, my kids Jasmine and Christopher, he always made us smile with his silliness and wit. We will always miss him. Our lives will forever be changed, so many things now speak his name to me....... I love you nephew.
