On April 16,2022 our beloved angel on Earth, Ryder Augustus Knight, gained his wings at the tender age of 4. Ryder was born October 23,2017 in Houston, Texas to Kayleigh Sayer and Averell Knight. Though Ryder had many disabilities due to his Genetic Disorder, Zellweger Spectrum Disorder, Ryder loved and enjoyed life.
Ryder was the light of his mother and fathers’ life. He enjoyed visiting the aquarium often to spend the day watching all the fish. His favorite was always the jellyfish. He enjoyed going for walks and hikes with his mom. He especially liked it when there was a little breeze out. His father would often take him driving up the mountains in Colorado. The faster they went, the more he would smile and giggle. Ryder was also a lover of bright lights, and trips to the park where he would swing.
Ryder had many friends and family. His friends would run and push him around in his medical stroller. He loved to bump into objects as if he were riding around in a bumper car. He loved playing “Jumping Jellies” with his Pawpaw and being comforted and rocked in the rocking chair with his Nana. He loved to take baths with his sister Lenora. They would splash each other with water and laugh at one another. Ryder was always up for cuddles and hugs. Ryder was always happy despite his obstacles and brought positivity to everyone and everywhere he went. Ryder was loved by so many and will be deeply missed by all.
Ryder leaves behind to cherish his memory his parents, Kayleigh Sayer and Averell Knight; his sisters Zoe and Lenora Knight; His Grandparents John and Anna Sayer, Gus and Geraldine Knight; his aunts and uncles Brennan and Abbey Leger, Johnna Sayer, Jeremy and Anika Knight, his cousin Eleanor Leger and Great grandmothers Carolyn Sayer and Louise McKinney. Along with many other extended family members and friends.
Celebration of Life will be held on May 14th, 2022. Visitation 4pm and Service 5pm at Brookside Funeral Home-Cypress Creek.
