Sadie K Krakower

Sadie Kalmans Krakower passed away the 6th of January 2011. Sadie was preceded in death by her parents, Ray and Harry Kalmans; her dear husband of 74 years, Herman Krakower; her daughter, Renee Krakower Siegel; and her brothers, Aaron, Yale and Harold Kalmans.

Mrs. Krakower, a native Houstonian, was the eldest of four children and graduated from San Jacinto High School. Sadie loved life and lived life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, children, and grandchildren. She was very talented expressing herself through painting, needlework and loved entertaining. Family and friends will dearly miss her.

She is survived by her daughter Anita Rauch Kotlen and her husband Arthur Kotlen; her four grandchildren, Ronald Rauch and Carol Rauch; Bobby Rauch and his wife Ann; Cindy Siegel Eagle and her husband Ron; Brad Siegel and his wife Doreen. She is also survived by her six great grandchildren; Dr. Greg Rauch; Kelly Rauch; Rick Polster and his wife Jodie; Suzy Polster; Stacey Rauch Lenig and her husband Travis; and Karly Rauch. Sadie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews with special thanks to Barbara and Raymond Kalmans. The family wishes to express their deepest appreciation to Mrs. Krakower’s caregivers: Jennifer Tassin; Irma Jean Sapp; Sharon Webber; Kathleen Ramirez.

The funeral service is to be conducted at eleven o’clock in the morning on Sunday, the 9th of January, in the Jasek Chapel of Geo. H. Lewis & Sons, 1010 Bering Drive in Houston.

A private interment is to follow.
