Sally Marie Nash

A mother superior, adventurous, daring; Inseparable grandmother; loyal and true; Never too busy to stop, smile, and offer advice to you; Self-motivated, highly educated, persistent-never give up; passionate and caring; energetic and lived life to its fullest. This Louisiana baby girl was born, May 24, 1946 to Ernest Howard and Vernita Pruitt (preceded in death), but reared by a loving-nurturing stepfather, Collie Pruitt (preceded in death). Adventurous sister to her sisters Mary (Sue) and Clementine, brother, Alfred . Passionately devoted to family, Tonia Auguilliard (Daughter), Felecia Nash-Victor (Lamuel), and Alton J. Nash, Jr (Janell). Priceless memories with her grandsons, Kristopher J. Nash, Phillip Auguilliard, Ryland Justin, Aiden John and Caleb James Nash.Once devoted and loving wife for twenty-seven years which later became a compassionate, caring, and inseparable life-long companionship to Alton John Nash, Sr. Caring and inspirational to her family and friends. Educational career spanned from Louisiana Public Schools to Tennessee Public Schools. Teacher, school counselor, high school drop-out prevention leader; willing to help students aspire to achieve their highest potential . Bachelor of Science, Masters of Counseling, and Administration and Supervision certification. She persuade the present, remedied the past, and taught the future of children.

Daring and was not afraid to travel into unfamiliar places or challenges in life such as meeting new people, re-establishing herself in the faith community, and positions within the school system and Educational Associations of Nashville and Chattanooga Public Schools. Devotion to faith communities of St. James UMC and served in several positions both locally and on the district level in the Louisiana and Tennessee Conferences. Currently, a member of Brainerd United Methodist Church where she served as chairperson of the Nurturing Committee in Chattanooga, TN . Retired from Hamilton County schools where she worked as a high school counselor, graduation coach, and teacher on Special Assignment/Data coach . Member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Be ye ever mindful – don’t fret and don’t cry, because she left her earthly body here in Houston, Texas on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 for her spiritual body in Heaven.
