

Salvador Manriquez, Sr., was born in San Jose Agua Azul, Guanajuato, Mexico on December 14, 1958, and passed away in Houston, Texas, on June 9, 2025, at the age of 66. He retired from MD Anderson Cancer Center as a groundskeeper after 29 years of service. He was a passionate Houston Astros fan for over 40 years and had the pleasure of attending Game 6 of the 2022 World Series at Minute Maid Park when Astros beat the Phillies to win the championship. He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Jesus and Sabina Manriquez. His loving family includes his wife of 39 years, Maria Isabel Escamilla; sons, Salvador Manriquez, Jr., and wife Nayeli Mendez-Fajardo; Daniel Manriquez, David Manriquez, Andy Manriquez; daughters, Elizabeth Manriquez and husband Jose S. Ramos; Margarita Perez and husband Edgar Perez; 5 grandchildren, Jayden Ramos-Manriquez, Kylie Ramos-Manriquez, Liam Manriquez, Xavier Perez and Felix Perez; and beloved dog, Kofi.
A visitation for Salvador will be held Tuesday, June 17, 2025 from 5:00 pm to 11:00 pm at Funeraria Del Angel Crespo, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A rosary will take place Tuesday, June 17, 2025 at 7:00 pm, 2516 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church at 10 am located at 2405 Navigation Blvd., Houston, TX 77003. A committal service will follow Wednesday, June 18, 2025 at 12:00 pm at Brookside Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Fwy, Houston, Texas 77039.
