Sammy was born on the 25th of March 1928. He joined the Navy in 1946 and was honorably discharged in 1948. He met the love of his life, Josephine Marie Bellassai, shortly after coming back to Houston and they were married on the 16th of October 1949.

Sammy worked at JN Taub and Sons for over 30 years and for Quality Beverage Company for 10 years. Sam always kept busy with projects around the house, at his children’s homes, and at his beloved “Country” property in Brazoria County.

Sammy will be missed tremendously. During his final days he was at the side of his wife Joie, surrounded by his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, telling everyone how much he loved them and would miss them. Sammy/Dad/PawPaw, we miss you too, until we meet again.

Sam was a great guy to be around at work and at his place in the country. I'm so glad our paths crossed and I'm proud to call him a friend.

His friend, Luke.

Mr. Listi "Papa Bear" was one of the finest gentlemen I have ever known. He was a loyal & trusting friend, a dedicated employee and a true family man in every sense of the word. Papa Bear was my Dad's best friend and a friend of the whole family. He respected us as kids and appreciated us as adults. He taught me how to water ski, took me camping and employed me at Triangle Tree Lot. The man could flock a Christmas tree like no one else. He went on to manage our warehouse at QB and was always willing to lend a helping hand on any occasion at work or around the house. Patty & I spent some quality time with him in July 2016 at his house. We delivered a cuccuzza to him from the Saragusa Family Farm. He looked great, was sharp as ever and had his westerns rolling on the TV. He so much appreciated the visit as did we.

Mr. Listi, I sincerely THANK YOU for the true, lasting & dedicated friend you were to my Dad and our whole family. You are a fine man. You will be missed. We know it was your time.
