Sam Marroquin was one of my favorite person.  He was very talented, kind and I learned so much from him the music.  I played the piano for his choir for several years of my life and it was always so much fun to be part of his choir group.  I love his wife Rachel with all my heart as well as Cindy and Elizabeth.  My memories of Sam Marroquin, was his smile.  Thank you for being part of my life all the years we spend with the church.  I was sad to hear he was gone, but I know some day we will sing again in Heaven.  Love you Sam & Rachel.  With all my love, Priscilla Valades Rankin

Rachel, Cindy, and Elizabeth, I thank you for having shared Sam with me all these years.  He never judged me, even after my two divorces. He always encouraged me and let me know how he loved me.  He was the older brother I never had, my spiritual mentor, and my brother in Christ. My heart sank when I heard he had passed, but I remembered his infectious smile and genuine love.  God used his faithful servant to the end to influence countless of young and old Christians and nonbelievers to know the love of Christ. I will always remember the wonderful times I had singing in the Bonita Gardens choir.  Those were some of the most happiest and joyful moments of my life, and all made possible by my dear brother Sam.  Tears came forth at the North Central Church service from me and many others as we eulogized and thanked God for Sam's life of faith and devotion to the Lord Jesus Christ.  He will always hold a very dear place in my heart and in my memories for the many ways he loved me and encouraged me to persevere in the face of my pain and struggles.  Thank you Father for sending Sam and Rachel into my life to help me grow closer to you Lord Jesus.  Peace and grace to you Rachel, Cindy, and Elizabeth as well as to your family.

My condolences to the Marroquin Family. I was blessed with parents(Ramon & Raquel Estrella ) who loved going to church & who loved to sing as well. It was always wonderful to hear Hermano Marroquin sing. Rejoice in heaven Hermano, Rejoice.

Years ago when I asked Sam if I could join the Bonita Gardens choir we were still on Corto St. I had to be around 13 and looking back it amazes me to think he thought I could contribute to the choir at that age. We have all been blessed by all the wonderful years he directed us in the best choir ever.
