He was born in Tucson, Arizona on July 10, 1941.
Samuel was preceded in death by his mother,Hazel Ruth Schrock Moore and by his two brothers, Calvin Weston Schade and Daniel Schrock Moore and adopted son, David Hood.
He is survived by his wife, Shawna Moore whom he married on 1/01/2020; and his children; Samuel David Moore of Shepherd, TX, Johnny Moore of Magnolia, AR, Johnny Hood of Conroe, TX, Daniel Moore and wife Candice of Deer Park, TX, Weston Moore of Magnolia, TX, Charlyne Jones of Hitchcock,TX, and Joseph Moore and wife Tracy of Magnolia, AR. As well as 12 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
Samuel was an Air Force veteran and served 7 1/2 years.
As a young boy he read up on how to repair cars and became an excellent mechanic, building race cars for individuals and owning his own shop as well as becoming a truck driver taking routes that took him across the entire United States up into Alaska.
Samuel spent his last 32 years of employment as a Bodyguard at Diamond Jewelry and Loan.
Samuel was a member of the American Legion and the National Rifle Association as well as the Sheriffs’ Association of Texas.
Samuel had a passion for Gun Smithing.
Samuel was most known for his love for his country and his family.
A visitation for Samuel will be held Friday, April 1, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at American Heritage Funeral Home, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A funeral service will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 12:15 PM to 1:15 PM, 10710 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038. A committal service will occur Friday, April 1, 2022 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive, Houston, TX 77038.
