Samuel Onyemaechi Obi

Samuel Onyemaechi Obi, was born September 2, 1980, in Enugu State, Nigeria, to Benneth O. and Jessy O. Obi. He passed away May 15, 2015, at Michael E. Debakey VA Medical Center, in Houston, Texas. Samuel was raised in Enugu State Nigeria; he attended the Joint Primary School, as well at the Modern Compre- Leisure Secondary School. After his high school graduation, he went on to attend University of Nigeria Nssuka where he graduated in 2008. Upon his graduation he married, Nneka Faustina Obi, September 25, 2009. In this union, they had one son, Kamsi Jeff Obi. Together they made Houston, Texas their home. In 2012, Samuel joined the United States Army, where he served as a Food Specialist. He served one tour in Afghanistan. Samuel had a love for health and fitness, he enjoyed exercising. He also enjoyed chatting with his many friends online. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Joel Ugochukwu Obi. Surviving and remembering, are his wife; Nneka Faustina Obi, son, Kamsi Jeff Obi, parents, Benneth Onyemaechi and Jessy Okwudirichukwu Obi, brothers, Chukwuma Nnaeto Obi and Kingsley Ikechukwu Obi, and sisters; Blessing Chioma Nwachukwu, Charity Ifebuche Ugwa, and Chinonyerem Gloria Obi.
