Sam Rains, fondly known by "Old Man" was tough on the outside but soft on the inside. If you wanted it and he had it he made every attempt to make sure you got it. The old man was hooked on the stuff toy crane machines. Many times he would get a toy and hand it to the nearest child. Sam started his life in OKC and moved between New Mexico, California, and Oklahoma with his family. At an early age he joined the Army and spent 11 years as an enlisted man. Sam started a family in Oklahoma City. Sam and Mary's path's crossed and they were married shorty after for 29 years. Sam was a good friend to all, a faithful husband, great father and a wonderful grandfather. We will miss him, but we know he is in a much better place among family and friends that have gone before us.
