

Samuel G. Wamsley, 89, born in Craigmont, Idaho on February 5, 1923 went to be with our LORD July 3, 2012 at the age of 89. He is preceded in death by his parents Ellis R and Mabel F Wamsley, and brothers James E Wamsley and Arnold Wamsley. He leaves behind his wife of 59 years, Dora Wamsley; daughter Lydia Parker and husband John of Galveston; son Robert Wamsley and wife Tracy of Friendswood. He also leaves behind 4 grandchildren; Brandy Parker and husband Dominic Mauriello, Amanda Parker, Rachel Jeanae Wamsley, and Jana Valigura; 4 great grandchildren; Maegan Mauriello, Ashley Krawietz, Gabriella Parker, and Oliver Mauriello; 2 sisters, Mabel Chadwick of Roseville, California and Wilma Jager of Boise, Idaho, sister in law Patty Wamsley of Seattle, Washington, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
Upon his graduation from Craigmont High School in Idaho 1942, He joined the United States Army of the Air Force and was honorably discharged February 20,1946. He then went to the University of Houston where He received an associates degree in Science for Electricity and Diesel Engines. After receiving his degree he went to work for the Missouri Pacific Railroad and retired after 34 years of service.
He was a member of Jacinto City United Methodist Church, the American Legion and the Jacinto City Fun Club. Visitation will be held July 10, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Howard Glendale Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held July 11, 2012 at 9:30 a.m. at the Howard Glendale Funeral Chapel, 1015 Federal Road, Houston, TX. Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery at 1:30 P.M.
