Sandra Ann Griffin, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and devoted servant of the Lord, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on November 10, 2025, at the age of 68. A longtime resident of Cypress, Texas, Sandra was born on April 18, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, to John T. Hardy and Edna Mae Robichaux.
A registered nurse by training, Sandra dedicated more than 30 years of her life to serving her community as a school nurse, retiring in 2014. Her gentle spirit, medical skill, and compassion touched the lives of countless students and families. She cared deeply for every child who came through her door, offering not only healing hands but also a kind word, a listening ear, and a heart full of grace.
A devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and grandmother, Sandra’s greatest joy was her family. She was a constant source of love and support to her husband, David; her daughters, Erin Nicholson and Kim Griffin; and her cherished granddaughters, Sophia and Lily Nicholson. Her love for them was unconditional, and her presence a steady source of comfort, faith, and kindness.
Sandra was known by all who knew her as someone with a servant’s heart. She faithfully served her family, her church, and her community with humility and love. Her unwavering faith in God gave her strength, and she shared that faith freely with others—through encouragement, prayer, and the quiet example of a life well lived in Christ.
She was also an active volunteer, giving generously of her time to causes close to her heart. Some of her favorite organizations included the Houston SPCA, SIRE Therapeutic Horsemanship, Girl Scouts, Cypress Assistance Ministries, Habitat for Humanity, and many others. In her spare time, Sandra loved reading and encouraged that same love of books in both of her daughters. She often spoke of her dreams of traveling and was blessed to experience many journeys with her family throughout her life, including fulfilling her dream of traveling abroad after her retirement.
Sandra leaves behind a legacy of faith, love, and service that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, John T. Hardy and Edna Mae Robichaux. She is survived by her husband, David Griffin; her daughters, Erin Nicholson and Kim Griffin; and her granddaughters, Sophia and Lily Nicholson. She is also survived by her brother, Jerry Hardy, and his sons, Jason and Jeffrey Hardy, as well as many other beloved family members and dear friends who were blessed by her life.
May you rest in the Lord’s eternal peace, Sandra. Your legacy of love and service will continue to shine in the lives you touched.
