We celebrate the life of Sandra Ann Selestino, affectionately known by her family as “Sisi.” Sandra was a beloved daughter, devoted mother, amazing big sister, incredible Tia, and loving wife. Sandra’s journey began on September 17, 1974 in Houston, Texas and she resided in Humble, Texas with her family. God called Sisi home on September 18, 2025, at the age of 51.
Sisi attended MacArthur High School before transferring to Sam Houston High School, where she graduated in 1995. In 1998 she earned a medical assistant certification from Polytechnic Institute and went on to work in various medical offices. Above all her proudest achievement and greatest joy was being a devoted mother to her six children.
Sisi’s unique laugh and radiant smile could light up any room. Her sense of humor was like no other. She embraced every moment of life, neither hard times nor cancer could change her vibrant spirit. Sisi had a special love for the holidays and took great joy in decorating for every season and celebration. You could often find her browsing the aisles of Hobby Lobby, happily planning her next craft project. She treasured time with her family; whether it was watching movies, dining at her favorite restaurants, taking road trips with her sisters, and enjoying weekend getaways to Louisiana with her mom.
Sandra’s memory will be lovingly kept alive by her parents Maria De La Luz Reyna and Armando Manuel Selestino, her children Caleb A. Liquitay, Lauren G. Estrada, Brianna F. Estrada, Mariah S. Estrada, Ava C. Estrada, and Aaron A. Estrada; her husband Anselmo Estrada; her sisters Monica Valenzuela (husband Jacinto) and Gricelda R. Ron (husband Edward); Her niece Alyssa; her nephews Jacinto Jr. and Julian; and numerous extended family members.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather Jose E. DeBlas; grandmother Francisca E. DeBlas; Tio Faustino DeBlas and Tio Alfred M. Strubelt (Papa Strubelt); Tia Maria J. Gonzalez and Tia Maria C. Cazares; niece Jasmine R. Ramirez; brother-in-law Jerry Munguia; and her beloved cousin Mary H. Bazan.
Our dearest Sisi brought laughter, comfort, and countless treasured moments into our lives. Her love and kindness will forever inspire us. Though we miss her deeply, her memory will always remain in our hearts. Goodbye is not forever it is only a pause in our journey. Until we meet again.
A celebration of life for Sandra will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
