Sandra Kay Smith

Sandra Kay (Turner) Smith peacefully went home to be with the Lord at 1:09 AM, Wednesday, March 23, 2016 after a brief illness. Kay was born May 14, 1942 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Franklin Max Turner and Sylvia Eugenia (Robertson) Turner. Kay loved music and studied piano, organ and voice at East Texas Baptist College.

Kay was short, sweet and full of energy, spending her days taking care of her family and her loving husband, Bobbie George Smith. She served her family and her Lord with a constant contentment and joy that showed itself in giggles and grins that revealed the light in her spirit.

Kay is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Bobbie George Smith; 5 sons, Kevin Smith and Wife Yee Lan, Darren Smith, Sean Smith, Keith Cargill and wife Patsy, Kenny Cargill and wife Angela; daughter Tara Smith Riggins and many, many loving grandchildren and friends.

Services will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2016 with graveside service at Memorial Oaks Cemetery at 1:30 and memorial service following at South Main Baptist Church, Westmoreland Chapel, at 3PM, 4100 Main Street, Houston 77002.
