Sanford was born on January 12th, 1927 in Guan Dong Province, Hoi Ping China. He was the son of Wong Loon Shau and Soo Hoo Gai Hoi. His brothers were Woon Lum and Wong Shung. He passed into eternal rest on Friday, July 25th, of 2025.
He came to America in search for a better life. Despite coming to a foreign land and not speaking any English, he was able to learn, adapt and succeed in his new homeland. He was very proud to be an American.
He married Jewel and shortly came their children: Robert, Anthony, Karen, and Joseph. He built his business gradually and the family prospered.
At the age of 65, he retired and took Jewel on their first vacation since coming to America. This was the start of their quiet life together. They enjoyed gardening, watching their family grow, and spending time with the extended family and grandchildren.
He leaves behind his children: Robert, Anthony, Karen, and Joseph; in-laws: Mai, Elaine, Amy; grandchildren: Christine, Samuel, Bradley, Richard, Jewel, Aaron, Justin, and Jeffrey; and great grandchild: Ryan
