Santana Saenz III, age 61, departed this life on December 1st, 2020 in Houston, Texas. He was born on June 27th, 1959 in Alice, Texas to Santana Saenz Jr. and Noemi Saenz. Santana graduated in 1978 from Alice High School joining the United States Navy right after graduation. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, and enjoyed spending time with his family (especially his girls) and friends. Santana was always full of laughter with his silly ways, and could light up any room he walked into. He was always dancing and singing to any classic rock or tejano music. All he ever wanted to do was make people smile. He was the life of the party, and everyone has fond memories of him as a happy go lucky guy.
He was preceded in death by his father, Santana Saenz Jr.; his mother, Noemi Saenz; his brother, Javier Saenz; and his newborn baby boy Santana Saenz IV.
Santana is survived by his daughter’s mother, Maribel F. Saenz, daughters, Soni Michelle Saenz (J.R. F. Garcia) and Isela Marsan Saenz (Troy R. Rucks) all of Houston, Texas; his four grandchildren, Emanuel Saenz, Victor Silas Garcia, Celine Rose Garcia and Amauri Santana Rucks; his brothers, Jesus Saenz (Diana) of Alice, Texas, and Jaime L. Saenz (Nora) of Houston, Texas; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
The family will receive condolences on Wednesday, December 16th, 2020 from 2-3 PM(immediate family) 3-6 PM(everyone) at American Heritage Funeral Home 10710 Veteran's Memorial Drive Houston, Texas 77038.
A funeral cortege will depart the funeral home at 10:45 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, December 17th, 2020 at First Will Baptist Church located at 10331 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, TX 77038, and after the service the Interment will follow at Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Drive in Houston, Texas 77038 where all Veteran Honors will take place.
