Santo devoted his working life to the automotive industry, earning respect through his skill, dependability, and leadership. A mechanic by trade, he also served as a foreman and lease driver. Roles that reflected his strong work ethic and practical, hands-on approach to getting the job done well.
Santo was married to his beloved wife of 37 years, Elizabeth Auippa. They enjoyed being members of the Bayou City Cruisers for many years and enjoyed many years of Carribean Cruises together. He had a love for Nascar.
Santo leaves behind his beloved wife, Elizabeth Auippa; his children, Billy Rackel (Brenda), Timmy Rackel (Dawn), Paula Lentz (David), Darla Henehan (Tony), Robbie Porras (Steven), Robert Leddy (Nelly), John Auippa (Christine), James Auippa (Mistee), Jerry Auippa (Bonnie), Steve Auippa, and Shane Auippa (Amber); as well as 23 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Bonnie Auippa; his brother, Roy Auippa; his sons, Billy Auippa and Michael Auippa; and his grandson, Garret Rackel.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Auippa, Billy Rackel, Timmy Rackel, David Lentz, Tony Henehan, and Steven Porras.
