Scott Mitchell Collins

Scott Mitchell Collins, 44, born May 20, 1971, in the morning of September 9, 2015, Scott’s momma came and took him home. Scott graduated High School from Sam Houston in 1989/1990. He loves animals and his bird “JoJo”. His favorite things to talk about were politics and football. He loved his mother and father with a great love. Scott will be missed more than words can articulate. Scott’s value cannot be measured in valuable things; he was far greater than any of these. The value of the ones we love cannot be measured by the things in life, but by the love of God. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son.” Scott is preceded in death by his mother, Paula Ann Collins; grandmother, Vivian Marie Collins; aunts: Peggy Ann Collins and Cathy Sue Collins. Left to cherish his precious memories: loving father, Roy Mitchell Collins; uncle, Floyd D. Collins and wife Rosemary; aunts: Linda Ruth Collins-Swearenger, Patsy M. Shebelbon, Karen Smith and husband Doug, Carla Mercurio and husband Anthony. Visitation will be Wednesday, September 16, 2015 from 12-1:30pm at Brookside Funeral Home with Graveside Services to follow at 1:30pm in Brookside Memorial Park.
