Serafin “Fino” Cruz, affectionally called Tito, beloved husband, father, and grandfather went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on November 24, 2011. He was born December 10, 1931 in Guaynabo, Puerto Rico. He married the love of his life Delia Pacheco on January 6, 1954. Together they had two children Marilyn and Serafin Jr. Cruz. Serafin and Delia raised their family in New York, where he worked for B.O.A.C. Airlines. He later moved back to Puerto Rico to operate his own small private trucking company. Out of love for his family, Serafin and his wife followed their children to Houston, Texas in 1987 to be closer to his children and grandchildren. He quickly became part of the Sugar Land community. He also worked and retired from Century Transportation. Fino was an amazing man who had love for everyone he met. He enjoyed baseball, listening to and singing mariachi songs, attending grandchildren’s functions, playing dominoes, classic cars, being a handyman, spending time with his family and his pet chihuahua “Chico”, and eating Blue Bell homemade vanilla ice cream. He is preceded in death by his parents Oracia and Venancio Cruz and brothers Venancio Cruz Jr. and Cocho Cruz. Serafin is survived by his loving wife, Delia Pacheco Cruz; children, Marilyn Cruz Jawanmardi and Serafin Cruz Jr., their spouses Firdaussi Jawanmardi and Nancy Cruz; four grandchildren Armand Jawanmardi, Nicole Jawanmardi, Joshua Cruz, and Naomi Cruz; and siblings, Raquel Cruz, Abraham Cruz, Matilde Cruz. Tito was loved and his sense of humor and amazing spirit will be greatly missed by all. We will always love you.
