Sergio Raul Vela de León, age 71, entered into rest on February 19, 2025 in Houston, Texas. He was born February 26, 1953 in Monterrey Mexico to his parents, Ramiro Vela Villarreal and Emma De Leon Tamez.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Ruth Vela; two sons, Sergio Raul Vela, Abel Vela; four daughters, Esmeralda Vela, husband Efrain Delgado, Suleyka Vela, husband Rafael Lopez, Mayra Alejandra Vela, Maritza Vela, husband Jeffrey Espinoza; thirteen grandchildren, Lizett, Sergio, Jocelyne, Efrain, Felicity, Abel, Rafael, Emma, Felipe, Jeffrey, Gianna, Alessandro, Izaak and numerous extended family members.
A Visitation for Sergio will be held Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A Celebration of Life will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039. A Committal Service will occur Wednesday, February 26, 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, TX 77039.
