

Shane graduated from MacArthurt High School. He met Esther Herrera and married on October 2002. Shane was a member of St. Mary Magdalyn Catholic Church.
His passions included listening to all genres of music, especially singing, playing his guitars and the harmonica. Shane played with several bands, The Sound, Querido Band, Shredneckers, and his group Speedy G and the Cats. He often played to his family at home. When Shane played his music brought joy to everyone’s heart. Shane enjoyed teaching and sharing his knowledge of music to others as well as taking trips to his home town. He will be enormously missed by his family, friends, and musical brothers.
Shane is preceded in death by his loving wife, Esther Herrera Gonzales; father, Gilberto P. Gonzales; and sister, Velia Lynn Delores Gonzales.
Left to cherish his memories are his son, Eric Gonzales; mother, Amparo Acevedo Gonzales; sister, Alice Gonzales Guerrero; brothers, Gilberto Ray Gonzales and Mario L. Gonzales; stepchildren, Marissa Tamayo, Melanie Tamayo, Jennifer Avalos, and Tommy Tamayo, Jr.
Serving as pallbearers are Eric Gonzales, Steven C. Medina, Jose Vaglienty, and Jacob Vaglienty ,Nathan Avalos, and Mark Honorè.

A visitation for Shane will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039. A funeral service will begin at 2:30 PM with the burial to follow at Brookside Memorial Park.
