I met Shannon when I just turned 15. To say life changed after meeting my buddies from the Heights would be an understatement. Ever since I have known Shannon he could always make you laugh and smile even on a dark day. I wish so much I were able to come say goodbye. My heart is broken that I can't make it there. My heart and prayers go out to the Hetmaniak family. Shannon you will certainly be missed by many.

Dear wonderful precocious acquired brother Shannon. Guess you figured ‘whats one more sister’? I am so grateful you had room for me too. But not surprising your heart was open to all.

Your spirit and love was always front and center and your smile could light up the night.

Many hearts are broken over your departure. I pray for the Lord’s comfort over all the family, friends and in your case the random strangers that love you. You never met a stranger and never walked away from someone in need.

My life has been so blessed for having had you in it. May your angel wings soar.

Love you forever...

I'm gonna miss you, Uncle Shannon.
I'm gonna miss all the talking we did over the Astros and all the advice you would give me. I pray for comfort over family and friends. You always made sure us kids were taken care of. My heart aches for everyone. I love you and I miss you.

Shannon was my and is my best friend. I miss your morning wake up call. Always checking on me to make sure that I had everything I needed for the day. You are mire like a brother than a friend. No one will ever take your place in my life. I have never met anyone who could brighten the room up by just walking into it as you. Keep a spot for me my brother for I will see you again. Until then my friend, my brother. I’ll keep rollin on and try to be the light for others as you showed me. Keep a look out over me for I may be blind without your light. Thank you for just being you.
I LOVE YOU and WILL MISS YOU FOREVER my BROTHER

Shannon
My little brother.
I'm so grateful that God allowed me to be one of your big sisters.
We shared lots of good times and made great memories. Like the time when you made me a cake for my Birthday when you had never bake a cake before. That was so special and it touched my heart.
You were definitly one of a kind.
So full of energy, you never stopped moving.
There was nothing you could not build, fix or repair. You always had to be doing something.
What made you so special is that you always thought of others before yourself. No matter what they needed, you were there. You had such a kind heart. You were just like dad.
I will miss you...Love you always!

To know Shannon is to love him! I met Shannon over 25 yrs ago. He was like a brother to me. He was my very best guy friend. His larger than life personality drew you to him. Always smiling, laughing, telling jokes, and horsing around. Shannon would help anyone in need. Literally giving you the shirt off his back. He believed always helping people out no matter what it was. Shannon was always there to listen when you had a problem, give you great advice and ready to help out if you needed him. He was very kind hearted and loved his family and friends. Shannon holds a very special place in my heart. I will never forget his beautiful smile and contagious personality. He will forever be in heart. Until we meet again I will always love you Shannon!

Brother, I can not believe you are no longer here with us. I can question why did you leave us so soon. Who is going to be the life of the party? I don't know. I don't know where we all go from here because this is all new territory for our family. The only thing I can say is you will be so missed....I can not put it to words how much because it would not do you justice. I love you brother and I will see you again on the other side. I love you always and forever.

MY BABY BROTHER SHANNON, WE SHARED A SPECIAL BOND LIKE NO OTHER. Life was hard for you at such a young age. As your big sis, I always tried to help fill that void and show you how much I loved you and believed in you. You were so smart, funny and good looking. You were hard working and had a big heart. You filled your days trying to help others. I will never get over losing you.
I never thought that I would be talking about my baby brother at his funeral. I always thought it would be the other way around. You always told me when I passed you would be up front to tell everyone how great of a sister I was. Well, I want to tell everybody how great of a baby brother you are. With your hard life at such a such a young age we shared more than most brothers and sisters.
I always believed you could have a great life. You just needed to believe in yourself and the Good Lord. We shared so many memories good and bad, but I never lost faith in you. With your good heart you were kind to so many less fortunate than you. We were all inspired by the way you stepped up and took care of our brother after his stroke. It takes a special kind of person to be able to make that sacrifice. The effort, patience and commitment you gave to our brother showed your good spirit.
You treated my daughter like she was your own. Both of you had such a bond, and you did so much together. You taught her how to fish, took her to the deer camp and bought her first phone. When you took her shopping you spoiled her so much. She loved you like her own dad. You loved all your nieces and nephews so much. They will all miss you, but they are all better for having had you in their lives.
I will always love you. When we meet again, we will cry and laugh together. Until then, give mom and dad a big hug and kiss from me.
