Sharon Elizabeth Johnson, 71, of Houston, Texas, passed away on March 10, 2026. Born October 27, 1954, Sharon was born in Orange, Texas, and later moved to Houston during Hurricane Rita. She remained there, choosing a life rooted in care for family and in steady support of those around her.
Sharon was a devoted, generous, and nurturing woman who loved helping others—especially mothers and young fathers who needed a little help with their children. She found purpose in showing up, lending a hand, and making life lighter for those who were doing their best. In her later years, she continued to enjoy the simple, meaningful work of caring for her loved ones, including helping with her grandkids, just as she had done for others.
She is survived by her three children, Roteshea Bordelon, Raydameous Davis, and Rayshanduria Johnson; and her three grandchildren, Isyss Tatum, Lajah Jones, and Ameris Johnson. She is also survived by her sisters, Donna Bordelon Smith and Shelia Bordelon; and her brother-in-law, Sherman Smith.
“Momma, just remember our song: ‘OUR LOVE’ by Natalie Cole.”
The family extends sincere thanks to the people who truly loved her, and offers blessings to each of you.
