Sharron Kaye Tomblin

She was born in Lufkin, Texas on January 3, 1948 to Roy Edgar Hughes and Charlie Ruth Hughes. Sharron graduated from Hudson High School.

She was married to Thomas Glenn Tomblin, her loving husband, on June 17, 1967.

Later that year she went to work for Transco. She worked there until 1973, prior to the birth of her first child.

She spent the next 2 decades staying involved in the school careers of her 3 children as a work-from-home mom.

In 1993, she went back to work with Glenn at his Nationwide Insurance agency.

Later in life, after their retirement, Sharron and Glenn found a love for travel. They traveled frequently, visiting many places across North America either with or to visit friends and family.

Sharron had a passion for serving the Lord throughout her life as a member of Bellaire church of Christ, Fry Road church of Christ and Cy-Fair church of Christ.

Sharron is missed greatly by those she left behind but we are comforted with the hope of rejoining her at her Lord’s side when life here on earth is done.

Sharron is survived by her husband of 54 years, Glenn Tomblin of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Tammy Garner and husband Jarred of Cypress, Texas; daughter, Tiffany Tomblin of Austin, Texas; son Devin Tomblin of Houston, Texas; granddaughter, Paige Garner, and grandson, Drew Garner, of Cypress, Texas; as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.

Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.AmericanHeritageFuneralHome.com for the Tomblin family.
