Shirley was married to Raymond George Budewig for 58 years, a steadfast partnership marked by devotion and constancy. In the quiet strength of her presence, many found a dependable love—steady, faithful, and enduring.
A proud member of Alief Community Church, Shirley served with a humble, giving spirit. She also shared her gifts through music, playing the piano and organ in church for 15 years. Her care for others was also felt in the everyday ways she loved—especially through cooking at camp, where her thoughtful attention and steady hands made people feel welcomed.
Shirley cherished her family deeply and especially loved being a grandmother, holding close the moments that made family life rich and meaningful.
Shirley was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Viola; brothers Raymond and Kenneth; her sister Jessie; and her grandchild Dennis.
Shirley is survived by sons Gary (Marailyn) and Scotty (Deanne); daughter Becky (Carl); 8 grandchildren; and 6 great grandchildren.
A Funeral service will be held at Advantage Funeral and Cremation Services, 7010 Chetwood, Houston, TX 77081, US, on October 31, 2026, at 10:00 am. A Graveside service will follow at Forest Park Westheimer Cemetery, 12800 Westheimer Road, Houston, TX 77077, US, on October 31, 2026, at 11:30 am.
