Shirley Ann Gilford

Shirley Ann Gilford, age 79, of Spring, Texas passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. Shirley was born in Houston, Texas on January 20, 1943. She graduated from Houston Community College and received an Associates Degree in Nursing. She was married to Sergeant John Gilford. Shirley had a career in Nursing and worked at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital for over 40 years. She was a member of her Neighborhood Civic Center, Red Hatter "Pearls of Perfection", and Card Players. She had a passion for family, friends, and food. She is preceded in death by her mother, Rosa Mitchell; brother, Milford Johnson; husband, John Gilford; son, Holland Smith Jr. She is survived by her father, William Charles (W.C.) Johnson; her daughters, Natalie Williams (Edward Williams) and Nartarsha Davis (John Davis); grandchildren, Thomas (Hicks) Williams, Edward Williams, Nehemiah (Young) Williams, Neyah Johnson, Jehromie Forbes, Jordan Davis; sister Patsy Bazile, and a host of family and friends. To family and friends who prayed, sent cards, food, money, shared time, etc. we thank you and appreciate all you have done for us. Thank you to Allumine Hospice for the care you provided.
