Shirley C. Johnson

Shirley graduated from MacArthur High School and Lone Star Community College focusing on Accounting. Shirley met Gary, and four years later they married at the Texas Ren Fest on October 13, 1996. Shirley had a career in property management at Call Bill, LLC. for seventeen years. She was a member of Joy Lutheran Church and the Girls Scouts of America and loved singing, dancing and crafts.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Virginia Ray Cornelius; grandparents, Fess and Dorothy Cornelius and Ray and Myrtle Rawls.

She is survived by her husband, Gary E. Johnson; daughter, DeAnn Patton and husband Billy; sons, Gary L. Johnson and wife Diane, and Michael L. Johnson; father, Bill G. Cornelius; brother, Bill E. Cornelius and wife Bonnie; nephews, Michael Cornelius, and Brandon Cornelius and wife Kristy; grandchildren, Joseph Johnson, Michael A. Johnson, Kyle Carrol, and Virginia Patton; great-grandchildren, Leslie A. Johnson, and Valerie K. Johnson; great-niece and nephews, Jake Cornelius, Owen Cornelius and Chloe Cornelius.

Serving as Pallbearers, Michael Cornelius, Brandon Cornelius, Bill E. Cornelius, Michael, A. Johnson, Joseph Johnson, and Earl Joy.

A funeral service will occur Monday, June 24, 2024 from 11:00 AM to 12:30 PM, 14450 Woodson Park Dr, Houston, Texas 77044. A committal service will occur Monday, June 24, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Brookside Funeral Home & Memorial Park, 13747 Eastex Freeway, Houston, Texas 77039.
